RALEIGH, N.C. - Arizonar -- Arcuri Group today announced a long‑term agreement with WakeMed Health & Hospitals, a leading North Carolina healthcare system employing more than 10,000 staff members across its network of hospitals, clinics, and care facilities. Under this partnership, Arcuri Group will provide comprehensive Situational Awareness and De‑escalation training to all WakeMed employees.
Training will be delivered in‑person, on‑demand, and live‑virtual, ensuring consistent, scalable access across the entire organization.
This initiative plays a central role in WakeMed's SafeOnSite Workplace Violence Prevention Program. SafeOnSite emphasizes four pillars — Prevention, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery — and reinforces that "workplace violence prevention is everyone's responsibility" and that staff must know "what to watch for and what to do 'in the moment' when emotions run high" . The program also highlights the importance of situational awareness, defined as "being attuned to your surroundings and recognizing when something isn't right".

Arcuri Group's curriculum directly supports WakeMed's compliance with The Joint Commission's Workplace Violence Prevention Standards, which require accredited hospitals to maintain a comprehensive violence‑prevention program, including training and education for all staff.
"WakeMed's commitment to its people is exceptional," said Dominic J. Arcuri, Founder of Arcuri Group. "Their investment in proactive, evidence‑based training demonstrates true leadership in employee safety, patient experience, and organizational resilience. We are honored to support their mission."
This partnership represents a significant advancement in healthcare safety across North Carolina and sets a strong example for systems nationwide.
