Council Bolsters its Technology and Data Center Expertise with the Addition of Jason Pfaff and Brian K. Darby
PHOENIX - Arizonar -- The Arizona Technology Council announced it has appointed Jason Pfaff, vice president and general manager of North America, Iron Mountain, and Brian K. Darby, vice president, Strategic Technology Initiatives, QTS Data Centers, to its board of directors. At the Council's quarterly board meeting on July 25, 2024, Pfaff and Darby were elected unanimously to serve three-year terms.
"Jason and Brian are seasoned technology executives who bring critical data center leadership to the Council's board," said Steven G. Zylstra, the Council's president and CEO. "We are proud to welcome both of these outstanding individuals to our team and look forward to their contributions as we continue our work to expand the state's impressive innovation economy."
The board of directors serves an advisory and fiduciary role by representing the interests of the state's technology sectors in the Council's strategic planning and ongoing operations. The current board consists of 32 members representing a diverse set of organizations.

Jason Pfaff, vice president and general manager of North America, Iron Mountain
Pfaff is responsible for providing global leadership to Iron Mountain's operations and sales organizations and direct all aspects of those organizations' operational policies, objectives, and initiatives. Pfaff holds more than 20 years of experience as a data center industry veteran focused on building global sales teams, optimizing the customer experience, and attaining annual sales and revenue targets, as well managing the entire operations team in North America. Pfaff previously served as the vice president of operations at IO Data Centers, and operations manager at both Digital Realty and Sterling Network services. Pfaff is a member of AFCOM and the Uptime Institute, and was awarded AFCOM's 2014 Data Center Manager of the Year.
Brian K. Darby, vice president, Strategic Technology Initiatives, QTS Data Centers
As an industry practitioner and board director, Darby has built a reputation as a cross-functional leader and trusted C-suite advisor with more than 20 years' experience in data center operations, real estate, digital infrastructure and business strategy. Over the years, Darby has steered context-dependent, company-wide strategic initiatives to drive long-term value at owned, leased and outsourced data centers for startups, small and medium-sized businesses and large enterprise organizations.
