The grant recipients include various student clubs and organizations such as BASIS Environmental Club, Dobson High School Future Farmers of America, and Red Mountain High School Girl Up. These groups will be recognized at a celebratory event on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at The Post on 26 N MacDonald Drive. At this event, they will have the opportunity to network with other recipients and meet with topic experts from the City of Mesa.

Funding for these microgrants was provided by Bloomberg Philanthropies, totaling $50,000. This support will allow these young individuals to design, implement and govern actionable climate solutions within their community.

The MYCAF program is an important step towards meaningful climate action in Mesa and serves as an example of how young people can make a difference through their innovative ideas and engagement. The City of Mesa is proud to support these young leaders as they work towards creating a more sustainable future for their city.
