~ This holiday season, Mesa Public Library is offering a unique way to give meaningful gifts that are easy on the wallet. Through their makerspace, THINKspot, library cardholders can create custom and personalized objects at no cost.

THINKspot is located at three Mesa Public Library locations: Main Library, Dobson Ranch Library and Red Mountain Library. Each location offers a 3D printer, laser cutter, sewing machines, embroidery machine, vinyl cutter, studio space and an iMac with professional video and audio editing software. To use THINKspot equipment, users must complete training, sign a liability waiver and agree to follow the guidelines.

In addition to online trainings, Mesa Public Library has upcoming in-person THINKspot classes designed to help people learn to use the equipment. These classes include laser-cut wooden holiday ornaments at the Dobson Ranch Library for adults (ages 18+) on Tuesday Nov 28th at 6 p.m., three-dimensional paper snowflakes on the vinyl cutter at the Dobson Ranch Library for adults (ages 18+) on Wednesday Dec 6th at 2 p.m., and laser-cut acrylic snowflakes at the Main Library for teens (ages 12-18) on Wednesday Dec 13th at 4 p.m., and adults (ages 18+) at 6 p.m..
