Paracosm Dance's critically acclaimed VISITORS returns to the Orpheum Theatre as a feature length film, crossing from stage to screen in the historic theatre built for both
PHOENIX - Arizonar -- Originally performed live on the Orpheum's stage, Paracosm's Arizona debut returns in cinematic form for the movie palace's silver screen. Filmed over two nights with thirteen cameras, this immersive screening places audiences closer than ever to the haunting world born of indie horror video games and dance theatre madness.
VISITORS pulls audiences down the path from dread to horror as Alyssa Johnson's two-act story - told through contemporary dance, capoeira, ballet, Lindy Hop, and physical theatre - confronts anguish in the margins of indifference and the cost of being on either side of the door.
SEPTEMBER 6th, 2026 | 7PM | The Orpheum Theatre

"VISITORS is a gripping plunge into dread and raw emotional intensity, made unforgettable by Alyssa Johnson's fearless artistic vision. As a choreographer, Johnson demonstrates extraordinary command of atmosphere and pacing, weaving multimedia, sound, and movement into a cohesive world that feels hauntingly intimate. As a dancer, she is one of the most compellingly precise practitioners of her craft and is visceral, unafraid to inhabit the darkest emotional edges of her work." - J. Nero-McArthur, Executive Director, BLL
