Phoenix, AZ ~ The Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity released a report today showing record numbers of jobs in the state, with 3,144,600 Arizonans now employed. Additionally, the US Census Bureau released the 2022 American Community Survey 1-year estimates which showed that Arizona had the largest gain in median household income of any state since 2019.
Governor Katie Hobbs commented on the news saying, "More Arizonans than ever are now at work, and they're making more money. With these record-setting numbers, it's clear that Arizona's economy is strong." She went on to say that she is focused on building businesses and creating good-paying jobs for Arizonans to continue to grow their middle class.

The report also showed that non-farm employment grew 1.6% from July to August and Arizona's workforce grew by 8,321 in the past year with 56,700 jobs created in Arizona. The poverty rate has also decreased significantly since 2019.
Governor Hobbs will be leaving tomorrow for Taiwan to further trade and investment in good-paying jobs for Arizona workers and build on this continued success. She hopes that with new initiatives to expand apprenticeships and job training as well as create businesses and invest in critical infrastructure, Arizona will remain the best place to live, work and raise a family.
