New feature enables residents to pay rent with cash at thousands of MoneyGram locations nationwide, providing secure certified funds for property managers.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Arizonar -- Following its rollout earlier this year, Henri announced the launch of a new HenriPay feature that allows residents to pay rent and other property-related charges with cash, expanding payment flexibility for residents while providing property managers with secure certified funds.
As property management companies move away from in-person payments and paper checks, many residents, especially those without traditional banking access, are left with fewer options. This new HenriPay feature solves that challenge by enabling residents to use the Henri app to pay with cash at convenient MoneyGram retail locations nationwide, eliminating the need for money orders or cashier's checks while maintaining access to a modern digital payment experience.

"Property management is evolving rapidly, and payment flexibility is a critical part of creating an inclusive and efficient resident experience. This enhancement ensures that residents who prefer or rely on cash or money orders still have a convenient way to make electronic payments, while property managers benefit from receiving certified funds that cannot be returned, reversed, or disputed."
— Alana Millstein, Founder & CEO, Henri
Certified Funds for Property Managers
Payments made through this capability are processed as certified funds that cannot be returned for insufficient funds, reversed after submission, or disputed through chargebacks. This supports compliance with certified-funds requirements commonly applied to move-in balances, reinstatement payments following returned checks, eviction-related settlements, and post–move-out charges.
By replacing manual check handling with a digital certified-payment workflow, property teams can reduce fraud exposure, improve payment certainty, and lower administrative overhead for onsite and accounting staff.
