~ JX Advanced Metals USA, Inc. (JX USA) has officially opened its new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Mesa, Arizona. The grand opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by key company representatives and local dignitaries. The facility, located on 63 acres at the northeast corner of Germann Road and Crismon Road, is already engaged in test production and is set to begin full-scale production in early 2025.
Formerly known as JX Nippon Mining & Metals USA, Inc., JX USA will use this new facility to produce advanced sputtering targets for the semiconductor industry. This expansion will allow the company to serve an expanding customer base in the U.S. and Europe. The Mesa location will gradually more than double the production capacity of JX USA's existing Chandler plant, positioning the company as a critical supplier in a rapidly growing market.
"We are thrilled to mark this exciting milestone for JX Advanced Metals USA, Inc. as we extend our commitment to Mesa and the advanced materials industry," said Mr. Takeshi Suwabe, Executive Officer and General Manager of Thin Film Materials Division at JX Advanced Metals Corporation. "Our new Mesa facility will not only drive growth in semiconductor materials production but also serve as the center of JX USAs business in the advanced materials field in the U.S."

We are honored to support this remarkable company as it grows and contributes to the industry and local economy."
The 273,000-square-foot plant features advanced technology production areas, collaborative office spaces, solar panel covered parking, electric vehicle charging stations, a workout center, and a welcoming garden area for employees. Its completion marks a significant step in JX Advanced Metals Corporation's plans to make Mesa a central hub for its U.S.-based advanced materials operations.
"Mesa District 6 Councilmember Scott Somers said, "Today's grand opening represents an incredible achievement not only for JX USA but for Mesa's Pecos Advanced Manufacturing Zone. This facility is a testament to our renewed focus on bringing high-value manufacturing jobs to the Mesa Gateway Area, and we are proud to welcome a company that will play a vital role in supporting Mesa's economy and the global semiconductor industry."
