~ Universal Technical Institute (UTI) has recently announced a new partnership with Loftin Equipment Company, a leading provider of power generation solutions in the Southwest. This collaboration falls under UTI's Early Employment Program (EEP), which aims to provide students with valuable work experience and potential job opportunities while they are still in school.
Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Loftin Equipment Company has a strong presence in Texas and Arizona and is continuously expanding its team of skilled technicians. Through this partnership, students enrolled in UTI's Diesel Technology programs at campuses in Houston, Dallas, and Austin, Texas, as well as Avondale, Arizona, will have the opportunity to apply for positions with Loftin and gain hands-on experience while completing their education. Students enrolled in the Industrial Maintenance Program at the Houston campus will also be eligible for this opportunity.

Participating employers in UTI's EEP offer 20 to 30 hours of paid work experience, consideration for full-time employment after graduation, and reimbursement for education-related expenses. The eligibility requirements and conditions are established between the employer and the student. Currently, more than 140 employers participate in this program.
Julie Bailey, People Manager at Loftin Equipment Co., expressed their commitment to investing in long-term career pathways for technicians who play a crucial role in their business. She stated that they offer competitive compensation, growth opportunities, and a culture of respect and safety to ensure that Loftin remains the preferred destination for elite technicians.
Tracy Lorenz, President of UTI Division, believes that this partnership will provide students with not only industry-specific training but also real-world experience. For those interested in power generation careers, this collaboration offers a direct path into an essential industry with valuable work experience from day one.
