~ Mesa, AZ- The City of Mesa has joined forces with Arizona Disabled Sports and Red Mountain Theatre to bring a unique and heartwarming production to the stage. Madagascar Jr., a musical based on the popular animated film, will be performed at Red Mountain High School Auditorium located at 7301 E. Brown Road.
What makes this production even more special is that the cast is comprised of individuals from Mesa Adaptive Program who have developmental disabilities. These talented individuals will be joined by theater students from the high school who will assist them with their speaking lines and choreography.
Tickets for Madagascar Jr. are now available for purchase online for the following dates and times: Thursday, June 6 at 7 p.m., Friday, June 7 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, June 8 at 2 p.m. It is highly recommended to buy tickets in advance to ensure easy entry into the theater.

The Adaptive Off-Broadway production promises to be an entertaining and uplifting experience for all audience members. With its catchy songs and heartwarming story, it is guaranteed to get everyone moving.
Mesa Adaptive Sports and Recreation is an organization that offers sports and recreation opportunities to individuals with developmental disabilities aged six or older, both within and outside of Mesa. Their mission is to "let no one sit on the sidelines." The program typically runs weekly for up to 12 weeks in a season.
Their adaptive programs include special interest classes, outdoor recreation activities, social clubs, Off-Broadway productions in partnership with Mesa Public Schools, fashion shows, and adaptive sports such as bocce, soccer, volleyball, and track and field. The training schedule for these programs is based on competition schedules determined by Special Olympics Arizona.
