Mesa Celebrates All-America City Day Jan. 27

"The All ~ Mesa, AZ - The city of Mesa is celebrating its recent All-America City Award with a throwback, free hometown event on Saturday, Jan. 27. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Mesa along Macdonald between Main Street and Pepper Place.

According to Mayor John Giles, the All-America City Award is a testament to Mesa's dedication to programs that engage and support the city's youth. The event, known as All-America City Day, aims to showcase the community's diversity through various activities and performances.

Attendees can expect to see over 20 community performances on three different stages, including live music, dance groups, and a youth mariachi band. In addition to the entertainment, there will also be a petting zoo, cow milking game, axe throwing, tricycle racing, cornhole, face painting, sack racing, artist displays and food vendors.

The Post, downtown Mesa's newest community and event space located at 26 N. Macdonald, will also be participating in the festivities by featuring an All-America City Gallery with photos and information.

Mesa was awarded the prestigious All-America City Award for its outstanding youth programs that promote engagement, education attainment and service. This award is given out annually by the National Civic League to ten municipalities or counties that have made a significant impact on the lives of their residents.

Residents of Mesa are encouraged to come out and celebrate their city's achievement at this free event that promises fun and informative activities for all ages.
