~ Mesa, AZ - As the summer heat continues to scorch the city, Mesa residents can look forward to cooler temperatures and a variety of fall programs offered by Mesa Parks and Recreation. Registration for these programs is now open for Mesa residents for the 2025 fall season, which includes the months of August, September, and October.
The city of Mesa prides itself on providing programs and activities for people of all ages and abilities. From adult sports like kickball, cornhole, softball, volleyball, pickleball, and Recess for Adults - a program that introduces a new sport or game each week - to youth sports and clinics such as co-ed flag football, all-girls flag football, NFL flag kinder clinic, cheer clinic, lacrosse clinic, soccer clinic, and Playball multi-sport.
Teenagers can also get in on the fun with activities like flag football, junior tennis camps, Super Smash Bros E-Sports Tournament, and Teen H.Y.P.E. (Helping Youth Produce Excellence) teen leadership initiative. For those with special needs or disabilities, there are adaptive recreation options like swimming, bocce ball, rock climbing, yoga classes and even a fashion show.

For those looking to explore new hobbies or interests this fall season in Mesa can choose from a variety of options including youth beginners ice skating (ages 7-12), all-star gymnastics (ages 1-4), Dungeons & Dragons (ages 8-14), judo (ages 10+), belly dance basics (ages 16+), and tai chi for wellness/beginners (ages 16+).
In addition to these programs and activities offered by Mesa Parks and Recreation during the fall season are special events like Dive-In Movie on August 16th at Skyline Aquatic Center. Other events include Skate Party @ The Plaza on September 27th at Pioneer Park Plaza; Celebrate Mesa on October 11th at Pioneer Park; Fall Carnival on October 24th at Red Mountain Multigenerational Center; and Pumpkin Splash on October 25th at Skyline Aquatic Center. Registration can be done online through the Active Net Registration System, via email by sending a completed registration form to ParksRecInfo@MesaAZ.gov, over the phone by calling 480-644-PLAY (7529), or in-person by visiting the Mesa Parks and Recreation Office at 708 W. Baseline Road. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Registration forms are available in both English and Spanish, and for any questions or concerns, individuals can call 480-644-PLAY (7529). Additionally, some Mesa residents may qualify for the Mesa Recreation Scholarship MRS Discount, which provides a 50% discount on youth and adaptive programs.
