Mesa Limited ~ The City of Mesa is offering a great opportunity for limited-income seniors to save up to $97 annually on their water bills. The Limited Income Senior Rate Program (LISR) provides a 30 percent discount on the water service rate, reducing the fixed monthly charge from $29.23 per month to $20.46 per month.
Ed Quedens, City of Mesa Business Services Department Director, said "This program is a very effective and easy way to provide a significant discount to some of our senior residents in Mesa who face financial challenges."

In order to qualify for the program, applicants must be at least 60 years of age, the utility account holder, a permanent full-time resident at the service address and have a limited income that is 200% of the federal poverty level. Once approved, customers won't need to reapply or requalify for five years.
The application is easy to download and includes the income qualifications. The discounted rate will be applied to the account if qualified and approved; however, it is not retroactive.
Mesa seniors are encouraged to take advantage of this great opportunity and save money on their water bills!
