~ Mesa Police Department Joins East Valley DUI Task Force for 4th of July Weekend

The Mesa Police Department has announced their participation in the East Valley DUI Task Force for the upcoming 4th of July holiday weekend. The task force, which aims to prevent deaths, injuries, and property damage caused by drug and alcohol impaired drivers, will utilize a combination of DUI saturation patrols from Thursday, July 3 through Saturday, July 5.

According to officials, the command post will be strategically located at various locations throughout the East Valley. This effort is made possible through grant funding provided by the Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety.
