~ Mesa, AZ - As the summer season approaches, the City of Mesa has announced that all nine of its public pools will be opening on Saturday, May 25. To celebrate the start of the season, all pools will have special grand opening hours from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on that day.
Throughout the summer, most pools will open for public swimming at 1 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays. On Saturdays, hours will vary between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., depending on the location. Additionally, two pools - Skyline and Rhodes - will also be open on Sundays for guests to enjoy. For specific pool hours, visitors can visit mesaparks.com/pools.
The City of Mesa takes pride in providing a variety of options for residents and visitors to cool off during the hot summer months. The nine public pools include Brimhall Aquatic Complex, Carson Aquatic Complex, Fremont Aquatic Complex, Kino Aquatic Center, Mesa Aquatic Complex, Rhodes Aquatic Complex (home to the popular FlowRider), Shepherd Aquatic Complex, Skyline Aquatic Center and Stapley Aquatic Complex.

All pools will be open daily until July 20th and three pools - Mesa, Stapley and Brimhall - will remain open until July 27th. Skyline and Rhodes will continue operating daily until July 28th and then on weekends through Labor Day on September 2nd. On Labor Day itself, both Skyline and Rhodes will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission fees for the pools are $2 for youth aged 17 and under, $4 for adults and $2 for seniors aged 55 and older. For those looking for an extra thrill at Rhodes Aquatic Complex's FlowRider attraction, rates are $10 for youth and $14 for adults for a one-hour ride with the fence in place. Without the fence, rates are $12 and $20 respectively. Flow sessions without the fence will take place on Saturday mornings from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting on May 27th.
For those planning to visit the pools frequently, family and individual season passes are available at a discounted price until May 24th. These passes can be purchased on the Parks and Recreation website or at the Mesa Parks and Recreation Office, located at 708 W. Baseline Road, Building 4. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
