Mesa Public Library Celebrates National Read An E-Book Week

~ Mesa Public Library is encouraging readers to take advantage of National Read An E-Book Week, March 5-11, by utilizing the library's e-book platforms. With a library card number and PIN, cardholders can easily reserve books, access digital resources and download content to their laptops, tablets and phones.

E-books offer numerous advantages such as portability, access 24/7, environmental friendliness, privacy and added features. Most e-book apps allow users to customize screen brightness and text setting with the Libby app having the OpenDyslexic font to assist dyslexic readers.

The Mesa Library recently launched a new e-Card option which gives users instant access to e-books, audiobooks, online courses and more. Libby is the most popular app at Mesa Public Library with 279 thousand items available for download. Other apps include cloudLibrary, IVOX for children ages 3-8, TumbleBooks for young children and school-aged kids and TeenBook Cloud for middle school students and teenagers.

To be eligible for a free Mesa Public Library card one must live in Maricopa County for at least 30 consecutive days a year or work, own property or attend school within the county.
