~ Mesa Public Library is gearing up for a month-long celebration in honor of National Library Card Sign-Up Month. The library is offering registered cardholders the chance to win exciting raffle prizes throughout the month of September. These prizes include a $250 gift card to Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch, a one-year membership to the Arizona Museum of Natural History, and a Kindle Fire 7.
The main goal of this initiative is to encourage both new and existing library cardholders to fully utilize their library cards and discover all the amazing experiences they can offer. This includes not only borrowing books and movies, but also unique items such as hiking kits, garden seeds, cake pans, and Culture Passes. In addition, cardholders can access digital services like e-books, streaming movies and music, and educational platforms like LinkedIn Learning.
Mesa Public Library offers free library cards to anyone who lives in Maricopa County for at least 30 consecutive days a year or who works, owns property, or attends school within the county. Those who do not currently have a Mesa Public Library card are encouraged to apply online or visit one of the three full-service branches: Main Library on 64 E. First St., Dobson Ranch Library on 2425 S. Dobson Road, or Red Mountain Library on 635 N. Power Road.

Existing cardholders are reminded to check their online accounts to ensure that their cards are active. Cards that are expired or within 30 days of expiring can be renewed online or in person.
Once their cards are active or renewed, patrons can enter the raffle by filling out an online form on the library's website. In addition to this exciting opportunity for new cardholders, current Mesa Public Library cardholders can also exchange their old cards or replace lost ones for free during Library Card Sign-Up Month.
Mesa Public Library continues to adapt and expand its services in order to meet the evolving needs of the community. In 2020, the library joined the local and national trend of waiving overdue fines and fees.
