Trending...
~ Mesa, AZ- Jr. Suns Youth Basketball is making a comeback in Mesa this winter, and the City's Parks and Recreation Department has some exciting new additions to offer. For the first time, a Co-ed Youth Basketball League will be available for boys and girls ages 7 to 14 years old. Additionally, the popular Youth Basketball Kinder Clinic for kids ages 5 and 6 will be returning.

Families can now register for one of the co-ed youth basketball divisions, which include teams in the 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14 age groups. Registration will remain open until December 30th or until all spots are filled.

According to Augie Perez, Mesa Recreation Coordinator, the City's Parks and Recreation Department provides an excellent opportunity for youth to develop their skills, learn about sportsmanship, experience teamwork, and have fun. The program relies heavily on volunteer coaches who receive valuable training and knowledge about the sport. This is the fourth season that Mesa has partnered with Jr. Suns program, and both parents and participants have had positive experiences with them. The reversible replica jerseys have been a big hit among families as well.
