~ Mesa, AZ - The City of Mesa is calling for volunteers to help make the upcoming Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom a success. This highly anticipated Independence Day festival is known as the coolest in the state and offers a variety of volunteer opportunities.
Volunteers are needed for various shifts and tasks, including manning the splash zone, running carnival games, providing information at booths, and assisting with entertainment. In return for their service, volunteers will receive a commemorative T-shirt, a free meal, snacks, and cold drinks. They will also be entered into a raffle for a chance to win awesome prizes. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old or 14 if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom will take place on Friday, July 4 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Mesa Convention Center located at 263 N. Center St. This free event promises to be the biggest and best patriotic celebration in Arizona with live music, BMX stunt riders, historic flags on display, a Fallen Soldiers Memorial, classic car show, and family fun activities. The night will end with a Salute to America and an impressive fireworks display.
The event is made possible by the generous support of sponsors such as the City of Mesa; Mesa Convention Center; Mesa Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities; Sertoma Club; Prensa Arizona; Delta Marriott; Downtown Mesa Association; Mesa Chamber of Commerce; Visit Mesa; Celerion; Mesa Gateway Airport; Mesa Recycles; Mesa Water Resources; Nesbitt Contracting and VCA Animal Hospitals.
