~ The 15th Annual Arizona Celebration of Freedom Presented by AT&T is set to take place on Thursday, July 4th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in downtown Mesa. This highly anticipated Independence Day festival has become a must-attend event for residents and visitors alike, offering a variety of activities and entertainment for all ages. As a journalist, here are the top 10 reasons why you should mark your calendars and head to downtown Mesa on the Fourth of July.
1. Fireworks: The festival will kick off with a spectacular fireworks show at 9:30 p.m., following the Salute to America program at 9:15 p.m.
2. Beat the heat: With an outdoor mist-chilled food court, attendees can enjoy delicious treats while staying cool in the summer heat. This year, the Primetime Grill semi-truck will be making its debut, serving up mouth-watering dishes on wheels.
3. A salute to America: The Celebration of Freedom is a tribute to all things free, including admission to the event. Inside the air-conditioned Mesa Convention Center, visitors can explore the Hall of U.S. Flags featuring banners from all 50 states, as well as learn about the history of U.S. flags and pay respects at the Fallen Soldiers Memorial. Outside, there will be a Patriotic Military Showcase with displays of military vehicles.

4. Lasers: In addition to fireworks, attendees can also enjoy three laser shows inside the air-conditioned Mesa Convention Center.
5. Outdoor displays: The Great All-American Freedom Farm will make its return this year, showcasing vintage and new tractors and other equipment while highlighting Arizona's farm heritage.
6. BMX bikes: Back by popular demand, BMX stunt shows will feature jaw-dropping stunts and jumps that will leave audiences in awe.
7. Revolutionary War reenactments: Witness history come alive with three reenactments of the Revolutionary War by We Make History. Spoiler alert: America wins!
8. More than just food and drinks: In addition to the outdoor mist-chilled food court, there will be beer stands, games, and Instagram-worthy photo opportunities such as military vehicle displays.
9. Stay hydrated: The festival is providing a free water bar hosted by Mesa Water Resources. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own bottles and refill at any time, including at the water fountains inside the Mesa Convention Center.
