According to official numbers released by the city, a total of 227,570 fans flocked to Sloan Park between February 21st and March 25th to catch a glimpse of their favorite teams in action. This averages out to an impressive 12,643 fans per game over the course of 18 games played at Sloan Park.

Mayor Mark Freeman expressed his gratitude for spring training and its impact on Mesa's economy. "Spring training holds a special place in the hearts of our city's fans and it also brings business to our hotels, restaurants, bars and stores," he said. "The Cubs and As playing a combined total of 30 games here generated almost one-fifth of the entire Cactus League attendance. This highlights Mesa's popularity as a destination for spring baseball enthusiasts and those looking to experience all that our city has to offer."
Deputy City Manager Marc Heirshberg also praised the partnership between the city and the Cubs and As. "The City works closely with these teams not just during spring training, but throughout the year," he said. "They appreciate Mesa's commitment to providing top-notch training facilities for their players and creating a first-class experience for fans attending the games."
Overall, the Cactus League saw a total of 1.7 million fans attend 224 games this season, marking the fourth consecutive year of increased attendance. This further solidifies Arizona as a premier destination for spring training and showcases Mesa as a top choice for both players and fans alike.
