TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizonar -- A New Mission for Memorial Day: Arizona Warriors Assembly Launches with Live Music, Healing, and Community in Tempe
Tempe, AZ — This Memorial Day weekend, a new chapter in veteran healing begins. On Saturday, May 24, 2025, the public is invited to the official launch of Arizona Warriors Assembly (AWA) at a free benefit concert and community healing event from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at The Dark Side (formerly Tempe Farmers Market), 805 S Farmer Ave, Tempe, AZ.
Founded by veterans and spiritual healing practitioners, Arizona Warriors Assembly (AWA) is a new nonprofit dedicated to transforming how we care for those who have served—through Earth-based medicine, indigenous principles, and holistic practices.
"This Memorial Day I will honor the fallen by working to prevent the next veteran suicide," said Jason Moon, co-founder and board member of AWA. "We're not waiting for change. We're building it—with music, medicine, and each other."
The event features live music from Jason Moon & Tim Sadow, Allen Wadlo Williams, and Bright Side Blue Band, plus guest speakers, healing demonstrations, and powerful testimony from veterans and survivors who have found healing through sacred retreats and psychedelic-assisted recovery.

AWA's mission is to provide a sacred, supportive space for military veterans and first responders to heal and reconnect with their true essence through Earth-based medicine, indigenous principles, and holistic spiritual practices.
Its vision is to build a heart-centered community of people from all walks of life, where collective healing and spiritual growth uplift and support the care of veterans and first responders.
Though newly launched, AWA is already sending veterans on transformational healing retreats. This summer, the organization will facilitate:

"As we commemorate Memorial Day, it is fitting to honor the formation of an organization that continues to serve by providing access to life-saving modalities," said Mike Manion, co-founder and retreat co-facilitator. "AWA is taking the lead in offering deep spiritual retreats grounded in indigenous wisdom, in direct collaboration with a global network of healers. Building an international healing community is the way of the future—we are all one."
