PHOENIX, Jan. 2, 2024 ~ Fresh Start, a Phoenix-based non-profit organization that empowers women to succeed, is celebrating the success of its career training programs in 2023 and offering exciting opportunities in 2024.

Tennessee's story is one of determination and resilience. She escaped domestic violence and launched an exciting, new career in Arizona's most high-growth industry. Fresh Start provides the support and resources for women to create a brighter future for themselves and their children.

Fresh Start has been serving women for more than 30 years, and the launch of its Impact Program in 2022 expanded the organization's education, training, and career placement programs. The goal is to help women gain in-demand job skills in the fastest-growing sectors of Arizona's economy, empowering them to self-sufficiency, and growth in their earnings and career over time.

Fresh Start partners with educational institutions and employers to provide free career training opportunities. Women work with education advisors to choose a career path that aligns with their goals, receive career and resume assistance, and direct access to potential employers.

Examples of free career training programs include Women in Finance (a 6 week program open to all women regardless of prior experience), Welding (a 7 month hands-on training program offered in partnership with RSI), Semiconductor Advanced Manufacturing (a certificate program offered at local community colleges equipping participants with necessary skills for the electronics/semiconductor industry), Cable Harness Wiring (a 10 day hands-on training program offered at Mesa Community College) as well as Google Project Management (a self-paced Grow with Google Project Management certificate program).
