CHICAGO - Arizonar -- Northeast Airlines and Travel, Inc. today announced it has formally entered the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) application process to obtain its Air Carrier Certificate under Title 14 CFR Part 121, targeting specialized Cargo Operations Specifications (OpSpecs) with an initial fleet of Boeing 737-800 Freighter aircraft.
This milestone marks the company's strategic move into scheduled commercial air cargo transportation. By pursuing Part 121 certification, Northeast Airlines and Travel, Inc. commits to the highest global standards of aviation safety, regulatory compliance, and operational oversight. The carrier has set a tentative launch target for certification completion in the third quarter of 2027.
The selection of the Boeing 737-800 Freighter serves as the foundational centerpiece for the airline's launch service center operations, offering high-efficiency, narrow-body cargo capacity to meet modern supply chain demands.
"Entering the formal FAA Part 121 certification process with the Boeing 737-800 Freighter is a transformative step forward for our organization," said Nathan Hall, Chief Operating Officer of Northeast Airlines and Travel, Inc. "Our move into dedicated air cargo operations reflects our commitment to building a resilient, high-standard logistics infrastructure. We look forward to working transparently and collaboratively with the FAA Certificate Management Office to safely achieve this milestone by Q3 2027."
