Little Mouths Program: Promoting Healthy Smiles Through School Screenings and Education
DUBAI, UAE - Arizonar -- At Dr Joy Dental Clinics, our commitment to promoting oral health among young students continues through the Little Mouths Program, an initiative dedicated to dental screening and education in collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority. Throughout the first two weeks of October 2024, we focused on early grades, targeting Kindergarten (KG), pre-KG, and higher grades in educational and dental screening events. This initiative reinforces the importance of good oral health habits from a young age, underscoring our belief that prevention is critical to lifelong dental well-being.
Our team of skilled pediatric dentists visited several schools and nurseries, engaging schools and students with valuable information on pediatric dental care. Here's a snapshot of our visits:

Fairgreen International School, Sustainable City
One of our pediatric dentists provided dental screenings and oral health education for three consecutive days for early-grade students. Interactive demonstrations with tooth models and fun activities helped children understand how to care for their teeth. The sessions were designed to be both informative and enjoyable, ensuring the kids learned essential habits like brushing, flossing, and healthy eating.
Learn and Fun Nurseries, Greens, Karama and Liwan Areas
Our kid's dentist spent three days at Learn and Fun Nurseries, introducing the importance of oral hygiene to the little ones. These young children were captivated by engaging tools like soft toys, which made their introduction to dental care both fun and impactful. Booklets regarding the maintenance of kids' oral health were also distributed so they could reinforce healthy oral practices to their kids.
Vernus International School, Silicon Oasis City
Two of our dedicated pediatric dentists spent time at Vernus International School, providing in-depth dental screenings to the students. We aimed to check their oral health and instill the importance of daily brushing and making healthy choices in their diet.

Renaissance School, Dubai Sports City
Two of our child dentists performed comprehensive dental check-ups during our two-day visit to Renaissance School. Educational workshops were conducted to highlight the significance of good oral health practices and regular dental visits. Both children and parents were actively involved in the sessions, ensuring the whole family benefited from the knowledge shared.
The Little Mouths Program is part of our ongoing social responsibility to educate children about oral health. Nurturing healthy habits early in life is the foundation of a healthy smile for the future. Through these visits, we empower children and parents with the knowledge to prioritize oral health as a vital component of overall well-being.
