Held this Year in Phoenix, the Annual Event Focused on Empowering Advisors to Thrive in a Rapidly Transforming Industry
PHOENIX, Oct. 25, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Osaic, one of the nation's largest providers of wealth management services, announced the conclusion of ConnectED 2023, its annual educational conference, which took place this year in Phoenix October 22-25. The first national conference since the firm rebranded and began consolidating its wealth management firms attracted nearly 6,000 registered participants both in-person and virtually, making it the largest ConnectED conference to date.
Osaic's flagship event focused on empowering advisors to thrive in a transformative wealth management industry and included renowned speakers and informative workshops, as well as cutting-edge technology designed to encourage attendees to network with peers and learn valuable skills they can bring back to their businesses.
Jamie Price, President and CEO of Osaic said, "ConnectED is always a great opportunity to bring our network of advisors together with our staff and partners to not only share ideas, but to shape the future together. Our first ConnectED as a rebranded entity with more than one-third of our advisors already consolidated into Osaic gave us the chance to demonstrate the power of partnership. The success of the advisors and institution partners at Osaic is our success and our strategy is completely focused on them and their growth and productivity."
Leaders across the firm shared insights and provided exciting roadmaps for how Osaic is investing and progressing in four key areas.
Accelerating enterprise value, transforming the digital experience, reducing friction and cultivating community
Mr. Price kicked off the first full day of the conference with a fireside chat where he discussed the changing regulatory environment, the consolidation of the firm's eight wealth management firms into one and how the firm plans to evolve in the future.
"Shaping the Osaic brand into what we want it to be is the next phase for our company," Mr. Price said during his address. "We are turning the page to the next iteration of the industry, which allows us to be better partners to all our advisors."
Greg Cornick, President Advice and Wealth Management of Osaic discussed partnership and possibility and highlighted the key areas of focus for the firm: accelerating enterprise value, transforming the digital journey, striving for a frictionless experience, and cultivating the power of community and channels.

Mr. Cornick said, "It's about more than just growth. Our role as your partner is to expand what's possible. To build the pathways for you to reach your goals and to help you reimagine what you can accomplish. Your success, however you define it, is our top priority."
Osaic leaders also announced a simplified advisory pricing structure on the Wealth Management Platform (WMP) moving to a flat platform fee for advisors with more than $50M in advisory assets. For advisors with more than $500M in advisory assets, the fee will be 0 basis points. In addition, Osaic announced industry-leading wrap pricing that will go as low as 4 basis points.
"We are simplifying pricing across our ecosystem," Mr. Cornick said, "As a first step, we're making advisory pricing on WMP more streamlined and less expensive with tiered AMP and wrap platform pricing that will be straightforward and market competitive."
Throughout the conference, the firm's other leaders provided more detail on each area of focus and forthcoming technology enhancements, including:
Compelling content, networking and giving back
ConnectED 2023 included an opening keynote address from Adam Grant, the renowned Organizational Psychologist from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and bestselling author of Think Again. Well-known business influencer and idea catalyst Dorie Clark delivered the closing key note on the final day.
Every element of ConnectED was thoughtfully designed to provide opportunities for networking, learning and connecting. The educational conference included more than 200 curated breakout sessions and attendees were able to maximize their experience at ConnectED by participating in Braindates, moderated roundtable discussions, peer-to-peer appointments and expert consultation sessions. The conference culminated in a closing night Block Party featuring the Steve Miller Band.
As part of its launch at ConnectED, the Osaic Foundation made a $10,000 grant to aid the financial literacy program at NourishPHX, and raised more than $10,000 at the event. Advisors and employees worked side-by-side during the conference to assemble financial literacy kits for the more than 200 families served by the charity.
