~ Mesa, AZ - As the summer heat continues to scorch the city, Mesa is extending the public swimming schedule of five City pools to provide relief for its residents. The decision was made to keep the pools open past July 19, which marks the end of the regular aquatic activities season.

According to city officials, Mesa Aquatic Complex, Stapley Aquatic Complex, and Brimhall Aquatic Complex will remain open daily, except on Sundays, through July 26. Skyline Aquatic Center and Rhodes Aquatic Complex will also stay open daily through July 27 and on weekends until Sunday, August 31.

The pools will be open for public swimming at 1 p.m. on most days. For specific pool hours, residents can visit the Mesa Pools and Aquatics webpage for more information.

Admission fees for the pools are $2 for youth aged 17 and under, $4 for adults, and $2 for seniors aged 55 and older. For those looking to ride the FlowRider at Rhodes Aquatic Complex while the fence is in place, rates are $10 for children and $14 for adults for a one-hour ride. Without the fence, rates are slightly higher at $12 and $20 respectively.
