PHOENIX - Arizonar -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Phoenix Partner Ed Hermes has been elected to the Osborn School District Governing Board as president.
Located in the heart of Phoenix, Osborn Elementary School District is a public school system serving more than 2,800 students. Founded in 1879, Osborn has become one of the most trusted School Districts in Arizona as it serves families from across Maricopa County. Its vision is to support every child on their path to a thriving future. Hermes has been involved in the Osborn School District for many years, having previously served as the treasurer and chair of the District bond and override campaigns in 2017 and 2018.
"I am honored to be elected president of the Governing Board. As president, I look forward to working to improve education and expand opportunities for all kids in the Osborn School District," said Hermes.
Hermes is a commercial litigator whose practice is focused on complex commercial, tax, property, and construction disputes. His experience includes litigation regarding breach of contract and tort claims, commercial and residential construction disputes, tax disputes and appeals, and disputes involving Federal Indian Law. He has also worked on garnishments, subpoena responses, lending matters, LLC disputes, tort claims, and other general litigation issues, and regularly appears on behalf of his clients in state, federal, and tribal courts and administrative tribunals throughout the Southwest. Having previously lived and worked in Indian Country, he also advises companies and economic development entities in conducting business and creating job opportunities in Indian Country. Hermes represents tribes, tribal entities, and businesses that engage in commercial transactions in Indian Country, including leasing, compacting, economic development, and governmental matters.
