Backed by Sequoia, OpenAI Startup Fund, and Other Top Investors, SolMining Expands Its Global Green Infrastructure Footprint
AMSTERDAM, N.Y. - Arizonar -- SolMining has successfully completed a new round of financing of $88 million, led by Sequoia Capital, with participation from Coatue, Kleiner Perkins, OpenAI Startup Fund, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Conviction, Elad Gil, and REV (the venture capital arm of RELX Group).
This round of financing will further accelerate SolMining's strategic global expansion, particularly with the construction of a new green data center in Ethiopia. This project will leverage the abundant hydropower and solar energy resources in Ethiopia to support SolMining's sustainable development goals in cloud mining and high-performance computing. Beyond its African expansion, SolMining plans to continue investing in innovative technology research and development, optimize its infrastructure, expand its service capabilities, and enhance operational efficiency and returns for its global clients.
