SAN DIEGO, May 19, 2025 ~ At the CLEANPOWER 2025 conference in Phoenix this week, SOLV Energy made a major announcement that has caught the attention of the renewable energy industry. The company revealed that it has been awarded multiple contracts from leading developers to construct over 6 gigawatts (GW) of utility-scale solar and storage projects.

These projects will be spread across various states including Arizona, Mississippi, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, and California. Among the developers who have awarded SOLV Energy with these contracts are well-known names such as Arevon, Clēnera, and Sol Systems. However, the company has also gained new customers like NewSun Energy, Enfinity Global, and Panamint Capital.

The construction for these projects is set to begin in 2025 and beyond. In order to support this growing demand for power in the United States, SOLV Energy is making significant investments in hiring and training regional project teams. This includes recruiting local project managers who have a deep understanding of regional conditions, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements.

Moreover, SOLV Energy is expanding its self-perform capabilities to speed up construction timelines while maintaining high quality standards and reducing costs for its customers. In fact, earlier this year in January, the company announced its acquisition of SDI Services LLC (formerly known as Sacramento Drilling), a provider of foundation solutions for solar energy and T&D projects.

This acquisition has allowed SOLV Energy to bring solar predrill and pile foundation capabilities in-house. This means that the company can now support complex projects in diverse terrain and environmental conditions.

George Hershman, CEO of SOLV Energy expressed his excitement about these recent developments stating that "demand for energy is continuing to grow rapidly" and that they are committed to investing in the capabilities their customers need for larger and more complex power projects. He also believes that these awards are a testament to the investments made by SOLV Energy to expand their capabilities and their value as a true lifecycle provider.
