The Market's Optimism Trajan Wealth
The second quarter of 2023 has provided good news for investors even amid worries

PHOENIX - Arizonar -- In the newest blog post from Trajan Wealth, Matt Coffina, CFA takes a look at the current financial market and how it informs the stock market and how we should respond with our investments.

Looking at the beginning of this year, we have seen a strong first half to the year.  In the second quarter, the S&P 500 delivered an 8.7% total return, leaving the benchmark up 19.4% over the last year. This could be a very surprising thing considering the investor fears including inflation, interest rate hikes, a banking crisis, debt ceiling worry, and a weakening economy.

These factors all serve as a potent reminder that trying to time the market might not be a great idea. There are so many factors at play at any given time, the market is mostly unpredictable in the short term. On a longer timeline, however, we have seen strong growth in stocks, and that is a very powerful thing to remember when planning your investment strategy.
