Bread of Life Missions Director Is Recognized at Retirement Housing Foundation's Annual Management Conference
CAMP VERDE, Ariz. - Arizonar -- Tom Meredith, director of Bread of Life Missions, received the Retirement Housing Foundation's (RHF) Volunteer of the Year Award at RHF's annual Management Conference in Long Beach, CA on Friday, April 4, 2025.
This award is presented to individuals or groups that display commitment to the residents of an RHF community and reflect RHF's mission and values. Tom's work with RHF's Verde View community to deliver fresh food directly to seniors in their apartments reflects his commitment to residents and embodies RHF's mission.
"We had to alter our ministry during COVID to become more of an all-encompassing emergency food distribution mission, which went from serving 75 families once a week to upwards of 300 families twice a week," said Meredith. "Rather than just making food boxes for everyone, the idea is that we can open up a fresh foods farmers market right here in the senior apartments."

"Once a week they deliver produce and packaged meals because many of our residents don't have transportation to go out and collect boxes on their own," said RHF social service coordinator, Victoria O'Malley.
RHF applauds the vital work Tom and the Bread of Life Missions are doing in the community and is proud to award him RHF Volunteer of the Year for 2025.
