PHOENIX, Feb. 29, 2024 ~ True Food Kitchen, a popular restaurant chain known for its commitment to serving real and healthy food, has announced the introduction of a new house-made sourdough crust for all pizzas. This new addition is part of the company's ongoing efforts to source and serve only the best ingredients for its customers.
Starting on February 28th, True Food Kitchen will be using this new sourdough crust as part of their TRUE Ingredients Standards program. This program ensures that every ingredient used in their dishes meets the highest standards for both people and the planet. CEO John Williams explains, "We believe in the power of whole, real food. We partner with each of our growers, ranchers and producers so that every ingredient meets our TRUE standards. That means better food for you, your family, and the planet."
The new sourdough crust is not only delicious but also offers health benefits. Made in-house from a fermented sourdough starter, it adds depth of flavor to the pizzas while being easier to digest and naturally low in gluten. It also promotes a healthy gut and has a lower glycemic index compared to highly processed flours.

In addition to the new crust, True Food Kitchen is also exclusively using organic DiNapoli tomato sauce on all current and future pizzas. For example, their Southwest Bison Sausage Pizza features organic DiNapoli tomatoes, Force of Nature regenerative bison, and Vital Farms pasture-raised egg. The Garden Pesto Pizza is overflowing with organic tomatoes and arugula.
According to Williams, these efforts towards their TRUE Ingredients Standards program will not be compromised as the company expands nationwide. "TRUE Ingredients Standards will open the door for more guests looking to eat real food crafted from the highest quality ingredients without sacrificing taste."
The company's commitment to sourcing with integrity is reflected in their five core pillars: Organic that Matters, Healthy for Pasture, Plate and Planet, Future-Forward Farming, Cut The Bad, Amp Up The Good, and See Ya Seed Oil. These pillars prioritize organic certification, healthy and sustainable farming practices, and eliminating harmful ingredients from their menu.
To experience True Food Kitchen's new TRUE Ingredients Standard, including the all-new sourdough pizza dough, reservations can be made on their website or online orders can be placed.
