PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--University of Phoenix College of Doctoral Studies is accepting submissions to its Phoenix Scholar™ academic research journal, for a special issue focused on adult learners in online higher education. Online education provides more flexible opportunities for adult learners to continue their education; however, there are still factors challenging them to engage in the educational process and succeed, and this edition of the journal will be dedicated to exploring these challenges.
"Adult learners have unique life and work experiences that inform their learning strengths and opportunities," states Mansureh Kebritchi, Ph.D, chair, Center for Educational and Instructional Technology (CEITR) at the College of Doctoral Studies, and special edition editor of Phoenix Scholar™. "We have many experts here at University of Phoenix focused on the experience of adult learners and wanted to open up this special edition to a diversity of thought and community."
This Special Edition is hosted by CEITR and will focus on exploring adult learners' challenges and innovative approaches to address those challenges. The journal editors are interested in contributions that explore innovations to improve online education and better serve adult learners, and welcomes manuscripts focusing on the current issues, challenges, and innovations related to adult learner educational success, curricula, teaching and learning strategies, technologies, learning management systems, and institutional supports and policies in online higher education.
