Work Towards a Better You for Free at Mesa Public Library

Mesa Library encourages library cardholders to take advantage of its wide range of free electronic resources to work toward new year resolutions while saving money on digital subscriptions. Compared to top market e-book and audiobook services, in 2021, the Mesa Library saved its customers an estimated $10,496,959 - and that's only a few of the many digital services available. From listening to audiobooks and music to reading magazines and watching videos, it is all available through the Library to help you achieve a better version of yourself for free.

"Libraries are much more than a repository of books. At Mesa Library, we have kept with the times and adapted our mission to fit the needs and interests of our patrons," said Mesa Library Director Polly Bonnett. "We are proud of the wide range of services we offer electronically and encourage library cardholders to take advantage of the resources we offer."

A 2021 West Monroe poll found that the average consumer spends $273 per month on subscription services, up 15 percent from 2018. The same survey revealed that an overwhelming 89 percent of participants underestimated what they spent each month. Popular subscriptions include music streaming services, downloadable books and audiobook services and fitness content - all of which are available at the Library.
