~ Mesa, Arizona - The 16th Annual Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom is set to take place on Friday, July 4, marking the official kickoff to Mesa's America 250 commemoration. This year-long series of events will honor the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.
As part of the nationwide America 250 celebrations, Mesa will be hosting a variety of events over the next year that reflect on the nation's history, honor its heroes, and inspire the next generation of Americans.
Mayor Mark Freeman expressed his pride in celebrating 250 years of America's independence and highlighted the significance of the Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom as a way to kick off their America 250 Planning Committee. He also noted that this event brings the community together each year on July 4 to celebrate the values that make our country strong.

The 2025 Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom will feature family activities, a Fallen Soldiers Memorial, military vehicles, live music, patriotic displays, and programs that pay tribute to our nation's independence. A full schedule of activities can be found on azcelebrationoffreedom.com.
