Midway After Dark, a 21+ carnival on Skysill Rooftop Oct. 29, puts a night at the Westin Tempe and a next-morning IV recovery session on the line, capped at 350 guests.
TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizonar -- The winner of the costume contest at Midway After Dark will not be going home. They will check into the Westin Tempe that night and pick up an IV recovery session the next morning. The 21+
Halloween carnival takes place from 8 p.m. to midnight Thursday, Oct. 29, at Skysill Rooftop in Tempe, two days before Halloween.
The costume contest is judged on stage before midnight. Skysill, which shares its building with the Westin Tempe, confirmed the one-night stay this week. The IV session is provided by a local IV clinic and redeemed the morning after the event.
Guests are asked to come dressed and come early. Capacity is capped at 350, and the midway fills up.

Drew Smith, founder of Activated by Drewstyle, a Phoenix-based event production and brand activation agency, is producing the event. The agency has produced more than 50 events since May 2025.
"Most costume contests hand you a gift card and a round of applause," Smith said. "This one hands you a hotel room. Halloween shouldn't depend on who invited you, and the door is open to anyone who wants to be in the middle of it."
Security will be on site, and the event is ticketed, not a club night. Tickets are sold through Posh at https://posh.vip/e/midway-after-dark-arizonas-prehalloween-party, starting at $24.95, with VIP options available.
Prices step up weekly as the date approaches.
Limited media passes are available. To request one, contact Smith at drew@scottsdaledj.com.
